Manchester United attacker Alejandro Garnacho wants to join Chelsea this summer after burning bridges with his Red Devils teammates, according to the Sun.

The 20-year-old has been told by Man United boss Ruben Amorim to leave the Old Trafford club and is not in his plans going forward, and the Argentine has instructed his agent to tell Blues boss Enzo Maresca he wants to move to the Stamford Bridge club.

Napoli are also interested in signing the winger, but he prefers to remain in the Premier League and could fetch the Red Devils around £50 million.

Garnacho angered some of his teammates following his interview after the 1-0 Europa League final loss to Tottenham Hotspur where he slammed their campaign and Amorim for not starting him.

He wants to keep playing European football and a move to Chelsea, who are in the Champions League next season, appeals to him after the Red Devils failed to secure a berth in any of the three continental competitions.

Given that he is regarded as an academy graduate after spending two years in their youth ranks, his sale will be beneficial to Man United as they look to balance the books this summer.

He cut a frustrated figure during the recent tour to Asia, blanking fans and refusing to grant interviews, and it seems he is doing all he can to ensure he gets sold this summer.

Man United will not be short of options should they cash in on him, with new signing Matheus Cunha also capable of playing on the left despite primarily being a number 10, featuring there for Wolverhampton Wanderers on a couple of occasions this term.

The Red Devils will also have money and room to sign a replacement if he departs, and an exit will greatly benefit both parties from the look of things.
