Jets Defender Pulls Hilarious Prank On Jared Verse

The Los Angeles Rams got a true gem in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Edge rusher Jared Verse made a name for himself right out of the gate, and it seems like he has a bright future under Sean McVay’s tutelage.

He plays with a chip on his shoulder and the kind of anger and no-nonsense approach that lets everybody know that he isn’t someone to mess with, despite being a rookie.

However, fellow Seminole Jermaine Johnson, who plays for the New York Jets, doesn’t seem to feel that way.

That’s why, during a recent streaming session, the Jets’ linebacker decided to pull a prank on him.

As shown by ALBM, Johnson called Verse to wish him goodnight.

“Just calling to check on you. You know it’s late over here. Just calling you to say good night,” Johnson said on the stream.

The young pass rusher wasn’t having it, and he told Johnson never to call him again, just to tell him that, all while Johnson and his followers had a big laugh.

The reigning Defensive Rookie of the Year logged 77 pressures in his first year in the league, which were the fourth-most amongst rookies since Nick Bosa in 2019.

He also logged 28 stops against the run and 4.5 sacks, showcasing his fierceness and versatility against both the run and the pass.

Of course, that makes him more than deserving of a good night’s sleep.
