Liverpool have reportedly agreed a third summer deal already, having sold Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid for £8.4million and replacing him with Bayer Leverkusen's Jeremie Frimpong. Sporting director Richard Hughes has wasted no time in the transfer market and is in advanced negotiations to sell another of Arne Slot's stars.
The Reds have already been able to net a transfer fee for Alexander-Arnold, freeing up from the club early to join Madrid in time for the Club World Cup. Now, they are turning their attention to a more fringe player in the squad who is nearing an exit to a Premier League rival.
The Athletic claim that Liverpool have accepted an offer of £18million from Brentford for goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher. The Bees are expected to sell their number one, Mark Flekken, to Bayer Leverkusen.
The 26-year-old Republic of Ireland international has just over a year left on his contract and has spoken openly on a number of occasions of his desire to play regular football elsewhere, having long been a reliable deputy to Alisson Becker.
Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili is also heading to Merseyside this summer after a £29m deal was agreed 12 months ago. He is expected to be the club's domestic cup goalkeeper and eventually succeed the Brazilian number one.
