Liverpool are preparing to start their title-defending season with a power-packed squad. Although the transfer window hasn’t officially opened yet, the club aren’t holding back, already being linked with multiple players.
After a dominant performance in the Premier League, the Reds are looking to build a squad that can bring back European glory — along with continued domestic success.
The latest signing, Jeremie Frimpong, has already arrived at Anfield. Liverpool didn’t waste a moment to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold, announcing the Dutchman’s signing on the same day Real Madrid confirmed Trent’s arrival from Liverpool.
The Merseyside club are also very close to bringing in Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Florian Wirtz, with talks progressing well as Liverpool negotiates the transfer fee, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Apart from that, Liverpool are looking to strengthen the left flank with another full-back, and 21-year-old Hungarian left-back Milos Kerkez is currently their top target for that position this summer.
As per reports from Ben Jacobs, the Premier League Champions are close to placing a formal bid for the youngster, and Bournemouth want around €45 million for the left-back.

As the transfer rumours continue to make headlines, Kerkez opened up about the speculation linking him with a move to Anfield.

The youngster said:
“Of course, something always leaks into the news. I don’t know how.”
He also added:
“At the same time, I think it’s normal that if you play well and the team does well, then you get into the news and end up on the front page, and everyone talks about you.”
Kerkez was a consistent starter for Bournemouth, featuring in every Premier League match during the 2024/25 season, scoring 2 goals and providing 6 assists in the league.
