Pedro Goncalves Sporting CP
Ruben Amorim is looking to reinforce the Man Utd squad to compete for the upcoming season. The Red Devils have been very poor under the Portuguese tactician so far and will have to work towards improving in the upcoming campaign.
The squad is set to undergo changes in the upcoming campaign, and a clear-out is on the cards.

There are a number of players who are past their sell-by date but are still at the club and they need to cut the dead wood this summer.
Bruno Fernandes is not one of those players who is past his expiry date, but he has a massive interest in him from Saudi clubs.
Al-Hilal are one of the clubs interested in signing him this summer, although Man Utd would not want to let him leave.
Man Utd want Pedro Goncalves
Now, as per Portuguese outlet A Bola, Man Utd are interested in Sporting CP winger Pedro Goncalves. He is on their radar if Bruno leaves the club but even if he doesn’t, Amorim is prepared to advance to sign the 26-year-old attacker.
However, one sticking point in this interest could be Sporting CP’s asking price of £67.4million. However, Amorim and Goncalves share a good relationship from their time at the Portuguese club and is preparing to make an effort to get this transfer done.
Pedro Goncalves is predominantly a left-winger but can also play on the right and in central midfield. In 20 games across all competitions this season, he has scored 6 goals and provided 6 assists. The Portuguese international has a contract with the club until 2027.
Goncalves was used as a part of the attacking trio in Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-3 system but the player himself made an admission that the original idea for him in the Portuguese tactician’s setup would be for him to play as a midfielder.
Thus, should Bruno leave the club, Goncalves would be a very good alternative to that position. He has showcased that he has the ability to play in Amorim’s system in the past and let’s wait and see if Man Utd are able to sign him.
