Barcelona have been handed some good news with regards Fermin Lopez who had been lined up for a busy summer with Spain.
The youngster has been included in the squad for the Nations League finals and the Under-21 roster for this summer’s Euros.
However, it’s now been confirmed that Lopez has been excused from U21 duty and can go on holiday after the latest Spain games instead.
“Fermín López, initially included in the preparation list for the Under-21 European Championship, will ultimately not be available for the tournament in Slovakia.
“The FC Barcelona player, who is currently training under Luis de la Fuente for the UEFA Nations League finals, will call it a day at the end of this June window.”
Spain’s bosses has originally said they had spoken with Barcelona about using Fermin in both tournaments, but it seems there has now been a chance of heart.
