It’s Sunday once more, and you know what that means — it’s time for our weekly social media roundup! While the main story in New York City has, once again, continued to be the New York Knicks, the Bronx Bombers have been enjoying their second — and final — West Coast trip of the season. What have they been up to in the Denver air and amidst the hustle and bustle of California? Let’s find out!

Pitchers are Athletes Too

Earlier this week, Carlos “Derek Jeter” Rodón made one of the best plays that you will ever see a pitcher making, fielding a weak grounder to his right and making an acrobatic jump-throw to nail the runner at first. Everyone was amazed at the play, including Yankees radio voice Dave Sims.

The best response, though, came from Carlos’s wife Ashley.

Ten Years of 51

Ten years ago this week, the New York Yankees officially retired No. 51 for four-time World Series champion Bernie Williams. The former center fielder and current guitarist took to his Instagram to commemorate the anniversary.

A Hospital Trip

The other day, several members of the Yankees organization, including injured players Giancarlo Stanton and Jake Cousins, visited a hospital in Tampa on behalf of one of the Yankees’ foundations. Unfortunately, for some reason I cannot link to the post; even so, I still wanted to highlight this.

Wells Ranks Burritos

Another road trip, another burrito. This time, we’ve got a rather strange one, where Wells wasn’t even sure what was in it — but in the end he did seem to like it!
