Man Utd have a massive summer transfer window ahead of them. The Red Devils need to work hard to reinforce the squad in a manner that would help Ruben Amorim compete at the very least next season.

One player who seems to be at the exit door at Old Trafford is Andre Onana.

News –Amorim prepares to advance to sign £67.4million player for Man Utd – Report

The ex-Inter Milan shot-stopper has had a torrid two seasons at the club and was left out from the matchday squad altogether for the final game in the Premier League.

Thus, Man Utd could be in the market for a new shot-stopper and as per Caught Offside, the Old Trafford club are lining up a move to sign Gianluigi Donnarumma from PSG. The Italian is fresh off lifting the Champions League with the French giants.

Donnarumma has a contract with the Ligue 1 giants until 2026. Contract negotiations on a new deal have reached a complete standstill as the player wants a salary of €10 million per year (£162,000 a week) but PSG have countered with a lower offer of around €6 million per year.

Interest in the ex-AC Milan shot-stopper is undoubtedly manifold. European clubs have been looking at him as a potential reinforcement and there might be many of them who are willing to give Donnarumma a £162,000 a week contract to get him to sign for them.

Italian giants Juventus and Inter Milan are also keen on taking Donnarumma back to Italy, and a move to Serie A might be tempting.

However, there is also the case of him being a former AC Milan player and he might not want to strain his relationships with the Rossoneri.

Donnarumma is widely considered one of the best goalkeepers of his generation. The Italian has proven to be clutch in moments when it matters the most. Despite the occasional mistake, he adds a lot of quality to any team he plays for.

However, without Champions League qualification, Man Utd might find it difficult to convince Donnarumma to join them Let’s wait and see how things play out with regards to this transfer saga in the coming weeks.
