In Biloxi, corner infielder Luke Adams had an exceptional month of May, nearly setting a Shuckers franchise record for on-base percentage (OBP). His .485 OBP was third best all-time, trailing only Blake Allemand’s .487 OBP in 2018 and Ernesto Martinez Jr’s .506 OBP in 2024.

How did Luke Adams get to a .485 on-base percentage

A big reason for Adams success last month was by doing one thing he’s done exceptionally well throughout his career: drawing walks. Adams drew 20 walks in 23 games during the month of May. His 19 hits also helped out.
Throughout Adams first two full professional seasons, he drew 76 and 78 walks, which resulted in on-base percentages greater than .400.
Adams is currently the Brewers eighth ranked prospect, per MLB Pipeline.
