Luis Diaz's partner shared a picture with what many interpret as a farewell message to Liverpool and its supporters, amidst rumours of the Colombian winger's potential exit.

Gera Ponce took to Instagram to post photos of the family celebrating their Premier League victory in front of the Kop, along with footage from last Monday's trophy parade in the city.

Diaz was a crucial asset for Arne Slot during the past season, netting 17 goals in 50 matches as the Dutch manager utilised him on both the left flank and central positions, often with remarkable success.

However, despite Slot's frequent reliance on the Colombian, speculation about the 28 year old's possible departure from Anfield continues to circulate.

Diaz is heavily linked with a transfer to Barcelona, with sporting director Deco recently acknowledging the Catalan club's interest in him. And, according to the Mirror the ex-Porto player is also on the radar of clubs in Saudi Arabia.

He still has two years left on his contract at Liverpool, and has expressed his desire to remain with the club.

Yet, with Liverpool reportedly eyeing German sensation Florian Wirtz and strongly linked with Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike, they might be tempted to sell Diaz if an attractive offer comes their way.

Gera took to Instagram with a heartfelt message for the Liverpool faithful: "To the incredible Liverpool fans. From the first day we arrived, we felt first hand what it means to be a part of this club. We knew the slogan was 'You'll Never Walk Alone', but to hear them sing it with so much passion, support us every moment and show such unconditional love... confirmed to us that here you never walk alone.

"This fan doesn't just support, it feels. And what you have made my boyfriend and our entire family feel is something we carry in our souls.

"Thank you for so much love, for so much dedication and for making us feel at home. Being a part of this fan is a privilege. There's no doubt: they're the best in the world. This is a real bond, deep and strong, that reaffirms that we'll never walk alone."

While Diaz's account gave the post a thumbs up, it didn't necessarily signal his departure; it might simply be a token of gratitude towards the Reds' supporters.

Yet, Gera's post quickly became a hub for comments from Liverpool fans, with one expressing concern, "I hope this isn't a farewell post", and another echoing the sentiment, "I hope you're both not wishing us farewell, we love you guys and we want you to stay."

Barcelona enthusiasts also caught wind of the post, eagerly responding and extending a 'welcome' to the couple to Catalonia.
