In the 2024/25 season, the side scored 58 goals in 38 matches, equalling their best ever finish of 9th in the Premier League, ending on a record 56 points.
Adams made 32 appearances for the club this campaign, including 21 starts in the league, after his first season was significantly disrupted by injury.
Adams reflected on the strides made by the [Cherries](http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/cherries/clubnews/), addressing not just the improved points tally compared to the earlier Premier League campaign, but also the broader vision that is beginning to shape behind the scenes.
“Anytime you have more points than the season before, its progress, right?” Adams said.
“But I think you have to not just look at the table and talk about how many points we have compared to the season before. I think you have to look at the ambition of the club and the ambition is clear.”
The American international joined Bournemouth in 2023 and pointed to developments such as the club’s new state of the art training facility and the proposed expansion of the Vitality Stadium as sign of a club with big intentions.
“New training ground, plans are ready to expand the stadium, bringing in high level calibre players that are playing at high levels. People are wanting to come and play in Bournemouth, and I think that is the most important thing,” he said.
For Adams, one of the most promising aspects of the current Bournemouth squad is its youth and potential.
With a group of talented players still developing, the midfielder believes the club are setting up the foundations for long-term success.
He said: “when you attract players of high quality to help grow and move the club along and tell these players that if any point you have the opportunity to do something special, were going to try to allow you to do that.”
The 26-year-old's comments echo the growing sentiment around the south coast club, where expectations are rising in step with performances.
With a summer transfer window on the horizon and plans continuing to unfold off the pitch Adams believes there is “definitely progress.”
