It’s set to be a busy window for Ruben Amorim and his Manchester United side, with Matheus Cunha already arriving from Wolverhampton Wanderers for £62.5m.
The Red Devils will need to invest to ensure they do not have a disastrous campaign such as the one that has just gone. There will be other incomings other than Matheus Cunha’s arrival, no doubt.
But an issue has to be the funds. Manchester United aren’t exactly financially stable, which will play a part in who arrives at Old Trafford.
🚨 Sir Jim Ratcliffe: "Manchester United would have run OUT OF CASH by the end of this year…
…by the end of 2025 – after having me put $300m in and if we buy no new players in the summer", told BBC. pic.twitter.com/NRswdtmLIr

That is why, after Cunha’s arrival, another attacker probably isn’t likely, which will squash rumours surrounding a £70m Premier League star.

Joao Pedro linked with Manchester United move
Brighton’s Joao Pedro was linked to Manchester United, with Sky Sports senior reporter Rob Dorsett stating that the Red Devils were ‘keen’ on the Brazilian forward.
Arsenal and Chelsea are also said to have interest in the Premier League star, but to prise him from the Amex, he’d cost a whopping £70m, as per The Sun.
More United News
With United signing Cunha, this more than likely won’t materialise, it’s simply too much money – for a position United now do not need.
A shame, considering Pedro has some ties to Manchester United stemming from his youth.

Joao Pedro idolised Red Devils legend Cristiano Ronaldo
Pedro was asked by the Premier League what his ‘biggest inspiration’ was growing up and the 23-year-old said it was Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo.
“Ronaldo,” Joao said without hesitation. “When he came back to [Manchester United]. I watched him when he was at United in 2007.”
He continued: “When I played against him it was a special moment for me.”
Pedro was then asked what Ronaldo does that he likes to emulate in his game, and he simply responded “Score goals!”
Sadly, it looks like he won’t be replicating his hero’s path at Old Trafford anytime soon – but never say never in future.
