Liverpool are among the Premier League clubs monitoring the situation of Southampton sensation Tyler Dibling, sources have told Football Insider.

Dibling, 19, is expected to leave relegated Southampton in the summer transfer window – which opens on 1 June.

Tottenham held a strong interest in the winger and submitted bids in January but sources say it is now an “open race” for the England Under-21 international’s signature.

Football Insider revealed on Friday (30 May) that Spurs remain keen on Dibling but will not meet his reported £55million price tag.

He is expected to have a big market in the summer window despite a drop off in form following Russell Martin‘s sacking at St Mary’s Stadium.

The teenager made 38 first-team appearances in a breakthrough 2024-25 campaign, scoring four goals and notching three assists across all competitions.

Dibling primarily plays on the right wing but can also feature as an attacking midfielder and centre-forward.

Liverpool line up Kuyt return this summer

Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed on Wednesday (28 May) that Liverpool are lining up a move for former star Dirk Kuyt to replace John Heitinga on Arne Slot’s coaching staff.

Heitinga is set to leave his role as one of Slot’s assistants after just one season at Anfield to return to former club Ajax as head coach.

Former Liverpool striker Kuyt has been working in Belgium as head coach of Beerschot, but is set to leave the club this summer.
