**REPUBLIC OF IRELAND** international keeper Caoimhin Kelleher, often linked with Celtic, is poised to quit Liverpool.
The Cork-born shotstopper will undergo a medical at Brentford today after the clubs agreed an initial £12.5million deal which could rise to £18million with performance-related add-ons, according to [Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/transfer/news/12691/13377791/liverpool-transfer-news-kelleher-update).
Kelleher was also on the wanted list of West Ham and Leeds United as he pushed for regular first-time football with Brazilian Alisson Becker the established No.1 at Anfield since joining from Roma in 2018.
The English champions signed Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia and he will now move up the pecking order.
Kelleher, capped 22 times by his country, was tipped for Parkhead in the January 2024 transfer window, but Brendan Rodgers kept faith with veteran Joe Hart who retired at the end of that season.
The Hoops gaffer signed legendary Danish keeper Kasper Schmeichel on a free from Anderlecht last summer and the 38-year-old former Leicester City star agreed a 12-month extension during the season.
Rodgers is satisfied with his goalkeeper complement with Viljami Sinisalo, a £1million recruit from Aston Villa a year ago, impressing in his first-team outings while Schmeichel was sidelined with a shoulder injury.
Scott Bain ended his seven-and-a-half year career at the Hoops last week and one-time Celtic prospect Ross Doohan, a free agent after leaving Aberdeen, looks to be on his way back.
