Writing in his exclusive GIVEMESPORT newsletter, Fabrizio Romano has shared what he's hearing on whether a Liverpool player could join Leverkusen as part of a deal for Florian Wirtz.
It's already shaping up to be a busy summer transfer window for the Reds, with the signing of Jeremie Frimpong confirmed back in May. Liverpool are also pushing to bring in another full-back in Bournemouth's Milos Kerkez, with the Merseyside club now preparing a formal bid to secure his signature.
Liverpool lifted the Premier League title this season, but they fell short in other competitions, including the Champions League. To continue their success in England's top flight and make more of an impact in other competitions, the Reds will need to continue investing in their squad.

Reports in Germany recently claimed that Liverpool saw a £110m bid rejected by Bayer Leverkusen. It's claimed that the Bundesliga side are hoping for around £17m more, or a player in return, with Harvey Elliott someone they would be interested in bringing to Germany.
It will be interesting to see whether Liverpool can come to an agreement to bring Wirtz to Anfield, whether that be including a player or not. If the Reds can get a deal over the line, it will be a real statement of intent from the Merseyside outfit, likely having to smash their transfer record to bring him to the club.
