Wolves are set for a huge summer – and it looks like one club are preparing for one player linked with a move to Molineux.
Wolves fans are hoping to see Vitor Pereira backed in this window.
The Portuguese did a superb job at pulling Wolves out of trouble, and kept the club in the Premier League with ease in the end.
Pereira gained a Manager of the Season nomination in the process, and there is a growing feeling that the Portuguese could bring the good times back to Molineux.
But Wolves need a productive summer, with Matheus Cunha and Pablo Sarabia already two confirmed departures.
We know that Fosun love to pick up players for little to no money – and Josh Brownhill is a player who’s long been on Wolves’ radar.
And Wolves have now potentially been given some encouragement over signing him.

Brownhill is Burnley’s captain and just played a big role in the Clarets’ promotion to the Premier League.

In 2024/25, he made 44 appearances, scoring 18 goals and making six assists.
His efforts secured him a place in the Championship Team of the Season – but Burnley now face the prospect of losing him this summer.
Brownhill’s contract is about to expire, and there has still been no progress on an extension.
And according to journalist Alan Nixon via his Patreon, Burnley are now preparing for life after him by moving for Welsh midfielder Jordan James.
Nixon states that the terms for an extension for Brownhill are high, and there is a chance he could be departing. James, who currently plays for Rennes, would cost about £12 million.

So with Burnley eyeing a potential replacement for Brownhill, the suggestion is that they fear losing him on a free.
And that is potentially good news for Wolves, who have held an interest in Brownhill for years now.
Wolves want a new central midfielder, and Brownhill has good versatility which could see him play multiple roles and rotate in for Joao Gomes and Andre.
And he sounds like the kind of player Pereira loves, if the assessment by Scott Parker is anything to go by.
He said of Brownhill (via burnleyfootballclub.com): “Today probably epitomised everything we’ve seen from Browny this year,” he finished.
And that’s a wrap, 18 goals 6 assists 100 point season centurions, unbeaten at home all season promoted to the premier league, WOW stuff of dreams man!!!!!
Thank you to everyone involved that made this happen.

“When you go a goal down and need to get one back, it was Browny that scored.
“When you need a goal to put a little bit of calmness into us, it’s Browny that scores.
“He’s been incredible, has led from the front and has been the driving force.
“Everyone sees what he is when he enters the football field, but he’s an incredible human and an incredible professional that has given us everything this year too.”
