Rangers are reportedly seriously considering a stunning move for veteran strike legend Jamie Vardy.
The 38-year-old quit Leicester City after 200 goals in 500 games after going down in club folklore as part of the team that won the English Premier League against all odds.
Vardy is now weighing up his next move with plenty of offers - and the Daily Mail say Rangers “are among the clubs showing interest” in the free agent.
The Ibrox club’s new sporting director Kevin Thelwell has officially started his new role with his ex Everton colleague and Goodison Park transfer guru Dan Purdy set to join him following Nils Koppen’s shock departure.
Rangers are still without a permanent manager but the recruitment team will be ramping up plans to improve the squad after finishing well off rivals and four-in-a-row Scottish Premiership champions Celtic.
Vardy is currently sunning himself in a luxurious hotel in Turkey as he enjoys a family holiday while deciding on his next move.

He worked under Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers at the King Power Stadium and they have also been linked with a move.
But it appears Rangers could be most serious about trying to lure the frontman north of the border.
