Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi has turned down a move to Tottenham this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

Guehi is expected to leave Selhurst Park over the coming months, and is on the radar of multiple leading Premier League clubs.

Spurs, however, will not take any further part in the race for his signature after registering their interest in the England international.

Guehi is understood to have turned down a move to the north London club.

According to sources, and despite Tottenham‘s recent Europa League success and Champions League qualification, the centre-back wants to join a club that will consistently challenge for top trophies.

Newcastle United are expected to make another move for the 24-year-old after four bids were rejected in the summer of 2024.

Palace prepare for Guehi exit with Glasner ‘powerless’ to halt move

As reported by Football Insider, Palace boss Oliver Glasner will be powerless to keep Marc Guehi this summer amid interest from the Magpies as well as Liverpool, who are also understood to be at the table.

The Eagles’ captain has just 12 months remaining on his contract, and is widely expected to leave after intense transfer speculation dominated his off-season last year.

One hurdle in any potential switch to Tyneside could be his transfer fee, which was quoted as being as high as £75-80million last summer.

His exit comes despite Glasner’s insistence that he wants to keep his squad together after lifting the FA Cup and securing qualification for the Europa League.

Eberechi Eze could join Palace summer exodus

Another first-team star could be set to depart Palace this summer after Football Insider revealed Bayern Munich are eyeing a move to sign Eberechi Eze.

Former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown exclusively told Football Insider that the 26-year-old is on Vincent Kompany’s list of attacking targets.

The news comes following the success of former Eagles attacker Michael Olise’s first season in the Bundesliga.

Eze and Olise share a close friendship after their time together at Selhurst Park, and it has been suggested the latter could sell the idea of a move to his former teammate.
