Manchester United’s new era under Ruben Amorim is already taking shape with a big-money arrival up front to address last season’s dismal attacking record.
After finishing a miserable 15th in the Premier League, the Red Devils have wasted no time in the transfer market, activating a £62.5million release clause to secure their first summer signing.
That signing is none other than Wolves frontman Matheus Cunha, who netted 12 Premier League goals last season and impressed despite his side’s mid-table finish.

United officially announced the Brazilian’s arrival on Sunday afternoon, confirming the deal is subject to visa and registration.
It marks a strong early statement of intent from the INEOS-led regime—but the headlines may soon shift to a possible high-profile departure.
Bruno Fernandes, the club’s captain, shared a video welcoming Cunha to Old Trafford on Instagram with the message: “Welcome to Old Trafford @cunha.”
However, the Portugal international may not be playing alongside United’s new No. 9 for long.

Reports this weekend confirmed that Bruno Fernandes is weighing up a blockbuster £100million offer from Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal, who held ‘positive’ talks with his agent Miguel Pinho in Riyadh last week.
With Saudi clubs ramping up their recruitment drive again this summer, Al-Hilal are looking for a swift response and have given Fernandes a limited window to make his decision.
The 30-year-old added further fuel to speculation after United’s Europa League final defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, admitting he could leave if the club feel it’s time to cash in.
“If the club thinks it’s time to part ways… it’s what it is,” he said.
“I’ve always said I will be here until the club says to me that it’s time to go.”
Despite being under contract until 2027, Fernandes is understood to be seriously considering the proposal, especially with the club unlikely to offer Champions League football any time soon.
And while Cunha’s arrival offers promise for United’s frontline, his debut season could begin without the man who just welcomed him in.
