The dust is busy settling on the 2024/25 campaign, and Nottingham Forest can look back on the season with a lot of pride.
Forest will enter European competition next season for the first time in 30 years. For a while, it looked as though the Champions League might be the destination for the Reds, but instead a foray into the UEFA Conference League is on the cards.
The Reds had a number of top performers in 2024/25. Defensively, the team was sound, with Matz Sels winning a share of the Golden Glove with Arsenal star David Raya and Nikola Milenkovic winning the Player of the Year accolade.
Going forward, supporters have been treated to. Chris Wood has bagged 20 goals, whilst Morgan Gibbs-White is wanted by Manchester City, such has been his form during the last nine months.

Fara Williams hails Nottingham Forest star Elliot Anderson
Perhaps one of the surprise packages for Forest this season has been Anderson. The player checked in for £35 million from Newcastle in the summer, with Odysseas Vlachodimos going the other way in a deal worth £20 million.
Going against the grain of the usual Team of the Season picks, BBC Sport pundit Fara Williams has been tasked with putting together a team of players for an underrated eleven.
Anderson has got the nod, with Williams saying: “I’ve been so impressed with Anderson this season. We saw glimpses of his quality at Newcastle, but I was not sure how he would perform as a regular starter in a Premier League midfield.
“He has shown himself to be an assured and consistent performer who was a key cog in a team that enjoyed a really impressive season. He is so calm on the ball, rarely gives it away and is an excellent dribbler.

It’s been a real season of learning for Anderson, and he’s only going to get better after being given the trust of Nuno Espirito Santo to play regularly in his team at the top level.
At 22-years-old, the future looks really bright for the youngster. This summer, he will experience another first when he plays for England under-21s at the European under-21 Championship, with England looking to retain their title.

Appearances 33 (4)
Goals 2

Anderson is a very intelligent player and carries the ball extremely well. He looks to be very happy to have signed for Forest and he will only improve as the seasons progress with him playing frequent minutes.
Although he’s only been at Forest for one year, it would appear that Anderson is a quality player, and hopefully, he can return even better for the experience of the last nine months next season.
