After the Kansas City Chiefs failed to complete the first-ever Super Bowl three-peat when they lost to Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles last February, many believed that superstar tight end Travis Kelce was going to hang up his cleats and retire from football.
Although Kelce has already squashed that rumors, it's fair to expect that he will not be in the league for many more years. The 2025 NFL season could potentially be the 35-year-old's last in the pros.
In any case, Kelce is among the most intriguing players to watch in the coming season. Together with superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Kelce can still do heavy damage downfield on opposing defenses.

In other words, the upcoming campaign could also be the last time that Kelce and superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes will share the field as players.
In a recent post by the Chiefs on Instagram, the team asked their followers about predictions for total touchdowns scored by Mahomes and Kelce in the 2025 season.
"15 and 87 will connect for ___ touchdowns this season," the post read.
Fans have all kinds of responses to the Chiefs' post.
"13 for his 13th year ðð¥," said a fan on Instagram.
Another one said: "7 max, his old ahh need to start coaching.”
From a commenter, who's seemingly into hyperbole: "15 + 87 = 102 touchdowns”
“better line = better drives they got a calm 15-16,” a social media user posted.
Via a different commenter: “6 regular season and like 4 more in the playoffs.”
Said another: “9 + 3 in the postseason.”
According to StatMuse, Kelce has scored 56 total touchdowns in the NFL with Mahomes. That checks out to over 72 percent of Kelce’s total career TDs in the league. Since Kelce entered the NFL in 2013 as a third-round pick by the Chiefs, he has racked up 77 touchdowns through 175 games.
