Chelsea could complete one of the biggest shock moves in the Premier League this season, according to reports - with Manchester United starlet Alejandro Garnacho being their 'next priority' in the transfer market once they complete the signing of Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap.
The Blues have already added Sporting duo Geovany Quenda and Dario Essugo to their ranks for next season, and their recruitment of young stars hasn't stopped with Delap. That could see Garnacho move after long-term interest, with the Argentine being next on Enzo Maresca's checklist in terms of the summer transfer market.

The report by Jacobs on X (formerly Twitter) states that Chelsea's next priority after signing Delap is to land a right-footed left-winger - with Garnacho being one of the names on the shortlist to join their squad.

Jadon Sancho's future at Stamford Bridge looks uncertain, with the Blues loanee potentially heading back to United himself despite the obligation-to-buy inserted into his contract, with the Blues having to pay a £5m fine if they cancel the deal and send Sancho back to Old Trafford. Although Jacobs states that they'd prefer to keep the Englishman, a deal will only happen if he agrees to personal terms within the club's wage structure - whilst Mykhailo Mudryk's future has been plunged further into doubt amid his doping scandal.
That, according to Jacobs, means that Garnacho is under consideration to move to west London this summer, especially with the process in terms of deciding Mudryk's fate being likely to 'take time'.
Athletic Bilbao star Nico Williams and Borussia Dortmund youngster Jamie Bynoe-Gittens are also on that list, but Garnacho's extensive Premier League experience could plunge him further up, having spent three full seasons in United's first-team squad and being labelled as 'incredible' in the process.
Garnacho has had a relatively strong campaign for a 20-year-old winger, scoring 11 goals and registering 10 assists in 58 overall appearances in all competitions, despite United having a poor campaign in terms of their progression in competitions, and with Chelsea being able to offer him Champions League football, that could see the young Argentina international depart if the Blues can agree a fee with the Red Devils.
