Federico Chiesa had a frustrating first season at Liverpool and the English champions could now be ready to part ways with the winger.
This comes from La Lazio Siamo Noi, who state that incoming Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri ‘really likes’ the Italian and he can become an option for the Roman side in the summer.
A deal would have to happen on the right terms though. The Biancocelesti want an option to buy in a loan deal and would want Liverpool to pay half of his current salary.
The move has been described as complicated, even if Lazio did make exploratory contact some months ago. They are also now facing competition from Napoli.
So far, Liverpool have opened up to the possibility of a loan deal with the option to buy and they would want a fee that goes up to €15m. There is no indication of what percentage of wages they would be prepared to pay for the winger, if any at all.
An Italian side taking him on and paying full salary is unlikely.
