Arsenal have identified the financial hurdle they must clear to land Brighton forward Joao Pedro, with reports suggesting the Seagulls would entertain offers in the region of £70 million for the Brazilian star.
Mikel Arteta’s side are actively pursuing attacking reinforcements ahead of the 2025/26 season, and Pedro has emerged as a serious option. The 23-year-old, who joined Brighton from Watford for £35 million in 2023, has scored 30 goals in 70 appearances for the south-coast club, establishing himself as one of the Premier League’s brightest young attacking talents.
According toThe Sun, Brighton are open to doing business if their valuation is met, continuing a well-established model that has seen stars like Alexis Mac Allister, Moises Caicedo, and Yves Bissouma sold for significant profits.

Pedro, who has been capped three times by Brazil, is contracted to Brighton until 2028, giving the club a strong negotiating position. Nevertheless, interest is heating up, with Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle, and Aston Villa all closely monitoring his situation.

While Pedro is firmly on Arsenal’s radar, the Gunners are also advancing talks with RB Leipzig for Slovenian striker Benjamin Šeško. The 21-year-old has agreed personal terms with the North London club, and negotiations are now focused on finalising a transfer fee. Šeško is understood to be Arteta’s top target to lead the line next season, ahead of rival interest from Chelsea and Manchester United.
