Man United captain Bruno Fernandes has been heavily linked with away move. The Red Devils have identified 26 year old star as the perfect replacement for the Portugese superstar.
Bruno Fernandes has been the backbone of United side this season. He has scored 19 goals and picked 18 assists. United finished on 15th position in Premier League. But, the story could have been very ugly without Fernandes.
United have no intention to sell Fernandes anytime soon. They consider him untouchable but this is not stopping other clubs from exploring the deal. Fernandes is wanted by Saudi giants Al Hilal who are ready to pay United hefty fee. In addition, they have offered the Portugese superstar a lucrative contract.
United will do all in their power to prevent Fernandes from leaving. But, they will feel powerless if the player decides to leave. As a result, they are keeping open eye in market for his replacement. As of now, they have 26 year old star on their radar as perfect replacement.

The star in question here is Pedro Goncalves of Sporting Lisbon. According to The Mirror, the Red Devils are planning to sign Goncalves if Fernandes leaves. The 26 year old will cost them £70 million. United will be in good condition to spend this amount if sale of Fernandes is finalised.
Goncalves is able to play as both left winger and attacking midfielder. He has worked with Ruben Amorim and hence United can convince him easily. So far, Goncalves has played 198 games for Sporting. He has scored 82 goals and picked 50 assists to showcase his quality.
The report adds that United are joined by Aston Villa in the race. Unai Emery will want a similar type of player as Marcus Rashford has opted against joining them permanently. They may have lead in race as United can move for the player only if Fernandes leaves.
