Leeds United could be set to make their first error of the summer window.
Recruitment will be the buzzword of the summer at Leeds, and rightfully so, given the importance it will hold for the Whites as they prepare for life back in the Premier League.
Daniel Farke needs to be backed if Leeds are to have a fighting chance of breaking the trend of newly promoted teams falling straight back down into the Championship.
The signing of a goalkeeper at Elland Road will be high up on their list of priorities, though the latest update will certainly cause a few to scratch their head.

Nick Pope wanted at Leeds United
Leeds will have a healthy budget to spend this summer, and the two main positions they will be looking to strengthen will be the striker department as well as the goalkeeper.

Callum Wilson has been linked to satisfy the former, while a whole host of players have been linked to address the concerns of the latter.

However, Nick Pope is the latest to have been linked with a move to Elland Road, and while it would be an upgrade on Illan Meslier, it also serves to be slightly underwhelming given the links to Caoimhin Kelleher earlier.
Kelleher has since edged closer to a move to Brentford for just £18million, and given his age and profile, Leeds will undoubtedly be wishing they pushed ahead with the interest sooner.

Leeds need to act quickly to secure summer targets
Slow and steady very rarely wins the race when it comes to Premier League recruitment, and Leeds need to be aware of that.
Several of those linked with a move to Elland Road will have interest from elsewhere, and while the Whites are deliberating over a move, other sides are pushing ahead of them in the queue, ultimately causing them to miss out.
Kelleher is the first example, and hopefully the last, ahead of what is a crucial summer period for the Whites.
