Everton want to bring Aleksander Mitrovic back to the Premier League.

The Serbian striker notched 38 goals and 11 assists in 129 appearances for Fulham before moving to Saudi Arabia with Al-Hilal in 2023.

David Moyes is in desperate need of a proven top-flight goalscorer with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Beto scoring just 11 goals between them this season, which is not good enough for a club of the Blues’ stature.

Everton to bring Mitrovic back to England

The Friedkin Group are set to flex their financial muscles this summer and give Moyes the backing that he needs to take his squad to the next level.

A report from talkSPORT (2 June) claims that the Blues are monitoring a move for the ex-Fulham man along with West Ham.

It states that the 30-year-old is available for £40million and is willing to take a pay cut to return to the English game.

Mitrovic could be game-changingfor Everton

The Toffees’ problems in front are goal are well documented, they were the fourth-lowest scorers in the league this season, with only the three relegated teams scoring less.

Mitrovic has proven his ability to score in the English game, scoring 15 times in his last full season in the top flight.

Since moving to Saudi, he has notched 68 goals in 79 games, a brilliant record and it may be the right time to come back to the elite level.

The 30-year-old still has a couple of years left at the top, and many questioned the move to the Saudi Pro League side when it happened, as he was still a handful for opposition defences.

The supporters at Everton would love him, he is the type of player the opposition fans cannot stand but his own fans adore, a Richarlison-type of player.

Perhaps more importantly, Moyes could get the best out of the Serbian, and if he is willing to take a pay cut, a deal on personal terms may be easy to agree.

It would be exactly the marquee signing that the new owners need to start the new era in the right way.
