The New Orleans Saints recently visited with free agent defensive end Jonathan Bullard, according to an NFL media report.
Bullard, originally a third-round pick of the Chicago Bears in 2016, has spent the last three seasons with the Minnesota Vikings. He has mostly served in a reserve role throughout his career, but he started 31 games the last two seasons.
The 31-year-old Bullard has some familiarity with Saints defensive coordinator Brandon Staley, who spent the 2017-18 seasons as an assistant coach on the Bears staff.
In 116 career games, Bullard has accumulated 6.5 sacks and 28 tackles for loss.
