Utah Jazz have appointed Boston Celtics assistant GM Austin Ainge, the son of Jazz CEO Danny Ainge, as the team's president of basketball operations.

According to Shams Charania of ESPN, the Jazz are hiring Boston Celtics assistant general manager Austin Ainge as the franchise's president of basketball operations.

Ainge has been a longtime member of the Celtics' front office, spending the last 14 years with the franchise and the last six seasons as the team's assistant GM.

Austin Ainge is also the son of current Utah Jazz CEO, legendary Celtics player and executive Danny Ainge.

The Jazz finished last season with the worst record in the NBA at 17–65 and are currently going through a difficult rebuilding stage that will continue in the upcoming draft, where they hold the fifth pick.
