"I'm glad I'm here and I was over the moon when I got the call, it's been one of my goals in the past few years and even this season it was my number one goal so yeah, I'm happy to be here."
The 25 year old is now looking to follow in the footsteps of his older brother Natahaniel, who was also a regular for England's development teams before winning senior recognition in 2018.
"He was buzzing for me, obviously he's been called up before so it was great to be able to share that with him and my family also," he added.
"They were all very happy and excited for me.
"He [Nathaniel] just told me to enjoy it. I know a lot of the boys already and they've been great so I can't wait now just to get training and be ready for the games."
The Three Lions arrived in Spain on Sunday to prepare for Saturday's match at their base in Barcelona.
And Chalobah's first day in camp saw him join the squad as they went to the Spanish F1 Grand Prix before turning their attentions to the training ground on Monday.
