The Boston Red Sox are finally promoting one of their most recognizable prospects.
(No, it’s not Roman Anthony.)
Blaze Jordan will soon make his way from Double-A Portland to Triple-A Worcester, according to MassLive’s Christopher Smith. It’s a [well-earned promotion](https://x.com/SmittyOnMLB/status/1929269252952871187) for the former top prospect, who finally found his footing during a dominant first couple of months this season.
Jordan slashed .320/.415/.513 with six home runs, 11 doubles, 37 RBIs, 22 walks and just 19 strikeouts across 44 games with the Sea Dogs.
Boston originally drafted the power-hitting corner infielder in the third round (89th overall) in 2020 — handing him a hefty signing bonus to secure his commitment. It’s been an up-and-down ride for him ever since, as mental health struggles limited him at the conclusion of his first professional season, while the following two years saw his production slip considerably [as he faced injuries](https://nesn.com/2024/05/red-sox-prospect-blaze-jordan-suffers-injury-after-solid-start-2024/) before his return to form this spring.
