Former Eagles and 49ers RB Signs Multi-Year Contract With Titans

The Tennessee Titans had one of the worst offenses in the league during the 2025 NFL season. This led to them winning just three games, which earned them the No. 1 overall pick in the draft.

Most of the blame was placed on quarterback Will Levis last season, so new general manager Mike Borgonzi elected to take Miami's Cam Ward with the team's first selection. Ward is expected to be the immediate starter in Tennessee after a 4,313-yard, 39-touchdown campaign in his final college season.

While the Titans were not devoid of talent, they spent a good portion of the offseason building up their offensive skill positions even more in preparation for having a rookie under center.

Wide receiver and tight end were the most important positions to improve for the Titans, as Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears are already a solid backfield tandem. However, the team still opted to select Michigan running back Kalel Mullings in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Tennessee also added another running back into the mix on Monday. NFL Insider Ian Rapoport reported that the Titans were signing Ty Davis-Price to a two-year deal.

Davis-Price was a third-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers, but he only played in seven games over two seasons with the franchise. He tallied just 120 rushing yards in 77 offensive snaps, catching zero passes and scoring zero touchdowns.

He found new life with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2024, but played just five snaps the whole season and ran three times for seven yards. At 6-foot-1 and 219 pounds, Davis-Price is a big running back with potential still to tap into.

It will be up to Titans head coach Brian Callahan to bring this promise out of him. Davis-Price will be competing with Mullings, Julius Chestnut and Micah Bernard to be the third running back on the depth chart behind Pollard and Spears.
