Crystal Palace hero Eberechi Eze has set out his ambitious plans to ‘win everything’, which could appeal to Manchester United amid interest in the attacker.
Eze has been a standout player for Palace since moving from Queens Park Rangers in the summer of 2020. This season he has scored 14 goals and provided 11 assists in 43 appearances in all competitions.
The most significant of those goals came in the 1-0 victory over Man City in the FA Cup final last month. The victory saw Palace lift the first major trophy of the club’s history.
Last September, the Manchester Evening News reported that United were monitoring Eze ahead of this summer’s transfer window. The England international has two years remaining on his contract at Selhurst Park and has a £68 million release clause that can be reactivated this summer.
Eze has made no secret of his ambitions in the game, hinting that h could look to move on from Palace to make those ambitions a reality.
Speaking to Sky Sports last week, the Crystal Palace man said: “for me that’s my aim, I want to win everything, everything that there is for me to win, I want to win it. I will do everything I possibly can to win it, that’s the mentality, that’s the aim, it’s always been the goal from the start.
“Again, thanking god for the opportunity to be in this position, alongside the ambition to keep pushing, keep driving, keep improving, be the best player I can be and to win. I want to win everything, that’s it.”
Eze’s openness about his ambitions is bound to go down well with United boss Ruben Amorim, who has promised that the ‘good days are coming’ back to Old Trafford. If both parties can match each other’s ambitions, then it could be a transfer that works for both player and club.
