EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Michigan State football has appointed Antwon Murray as its new Director of Player Personnel, bringing a wealth of experience from collegiate and professional football to the Spartans' recruiting and roster management efforts.

Murray, a former Boise State defensive back, has held key personnel roles at Arkansas State and Boise State. Notably, he served as Arkansas State's Director of Player Personnel in 2013, where he coordinated on-campus recruiting visits, managed social media efforts, and acted as the team's academic liaison. In 2016, Murray transitioned to the NFL, accepting a scouting assistant position with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
In his new role at Michigan State, Murray will oversee the identification and evaluation of talent, serving as an off-campus recruiter. His responsibilities encompass both incoming recruits and current roster management, ensuring the Spartans maintain a competitive edge in talent acquisition and development.
A native of Lakeland, Florida, Murray played for Boise State from 2007 to 2011, contributing to the team's defensive backfield. He graduated with a degree in communications in 2011.
