Bryan Mbeumo alternative is suddenly available to Newcastle as Chelsea make £29m decision -…

Newcastle United want to sign Bryan Mbeumo, but will also have alternatives on their radar.

There are no guarantees that the Magpies will be able to strike a deal, despite Newcastle holding positive talks with Bryan Mbeumo.

His price tag could be a problem for Newcastle United, while there is also the issue of competition from elsewhere. It has been reported that Manchester United and Arsenal want Mbeumo too, as Brentford get set for a bidding war for the 25-year-old.

Eddie Howe will be hopeful that a deal can be struck, but it would be unwise for the Magpies not to have other options.

According to the Guardian, Chelsea are willing to listen to offers for Noni Madueke.

On Madueke, the Guardian add: “There is a feeling that the 23-year-old’s development has stalled.”

He joined Chelsea in January 2023 from PSV Eindhoven for £29million, but could be on the move again this summer.

Newcastle United wanted Noni Madueke in 2024

Whether or not he comes into Newcastle United’s thinking ahead of the 2025/26 season remains to be seen.

He was heavily linked with a move to St James’ Park during the 2024 summer transfer window, with a report claiming that Howe saw Madueke as the ‘perfect’ player.

It was also claimed that Newcastle thought Madueke had a lot of potential.

That feeling may no longer be shared at Stamford Bridge, as Chelsea prepare to cash in. They are working on signing another winger, with Chelsea in talks to buy Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund.

While Mbeumo will remain the top target on Tyneside, there are alternatives out there.

Madueke is a player who Howe has been fond of in the past, and there could now be another chance to swoop in.

The asking price remains unclear, but any suitor will hope that Madueke is a lot cheaper than he was last year. It was reported in August 2024 that Chelsea valued Madueke at £60million.
