NFL legend and University of Colorado head coach Deion Sanders has finally weighed in on all those Shedeur Sanders pre-draft reports.
Suffice to say, he wasn’t happy.
But first, some quick background: As Shedeur was sliding in the 2025 NFL Draft, several reports came out claiming that the 23-year-old Colorado QB had a terrible pre-draft interview with the Giants and coach Brian Daboll. One such report even claimed that Shedeur was wearing headphones during his interview with the Giants head coach. This resulted in Sanders, once a consensus Top 3 pick, sliding all the way to the Browns in the fifth round.
Deion responded to these reports on the Say What Needs To Be Said this week.
“They want to create these narratives and create these stories and then attach them to a kid that ain’t never done nothing wrong,” Deion said via the “Say What Needs To Be Said” podcast.
“You gonna tell me he had on headphones, Shedeur? Anybody know my son understand he’s a professional. Like he’s gonna go into a meeting with headphones on?
“They’re lying,” Deion added.
So, yeah, Deion isn’t buying it. Let’s see if Shedeur, who is competing with Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel and Kenny Pickett to be the Browns’ starting QB, can make the Giants (and the rest of the league) look silly for passing on him several times over.
