Hammers frontman target close to deciding future | Report

[West Ham’s](https://www.claretandhugh.info/i-would-love-to-play-in-europe-hammers-striker-targets-thumbs-up/) €25 million bid might have been rejected by his club last week, but the player is reported as warming to both the idea of playing in the Premier League and in East London.  Galatasaray are seeking to squeeze another €5 million + out of the market for their striker **Baris Alper Yilmaz** this summer and WestHam are one of two English clubs trying to close a deal.

Reported today it seems that the decision may be just around the corner: Yilmaz is involved in internationals as his Turkey side have friendlies against USA on Saturday 7th June and Edson Alvarez’ Mexico on 11th June – and a report suggests he’s delaying any decision until those games are out of the way. [_Sportwitness.co.uk_](https://sportwitness.co.uk/west-ham-and-nottingham-forest-e30m-target-set-to-make-decision-on-future/)  write:

_“The winger will decide on his future after the upcoming internationals. Turkey are set to play USA and Mexico in friendly games this week._

_Again, West Ham and Nottingham Forest are reported to be interested in signing Yılmaz, but it will take an offer in the region of €30m to convince Galatasaray to sell…There have been reports in the past couple of weeks that both English sides have made approaches for the forward ahead of the summer transfer window.”_

West Ham have it within their power to stump up the extra €5 million (about £4 million) if they can overcome the reported Nottingham Forest threat. To get a marquee signing so early in the window would be the perfect boost for the recruitment team after Brentford gave the Irons a bit of a bloody nose yesterday.
