The Tennessee Titans drafted Will Levis with the No. 33 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. After Levis started 21 games in his first two years in the league, Tennessee selected former Miami star Cam Ward at No. 1 overall in April.
Ward is clearly viewed by the Titans as their quarterback of the future, leaving Will Levis out of a starting job.
Levis spoke with reporters last week about the situation he is in after the Titans drafted Cam Ward.
“Anyone who’s ever been in my situation can agree that it sucks,” [Will Levis said](https://x.com/TeresaMWalker/status/1928076900410290311). “I’m just trying to do everything that I can to not let it affect me.
“Just being the same dude every day in the building and being there for the guys however I can and just trying to get better every day.”
Will Levis threw for 2,091 yards with 13 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in 2024, while starting 12 games. He also rushed for 183 yards and averaged 4.1 yards per carry.
Levis was far from the only issue in Tennessee last year as the Titans finished with a 3-14 record -- tied for the worst in the NFL. Still, it’s understandable that Tennessee wanted to bring in a talented quarterback in Cam Ward, even if it leaves Levis in a tough spot.
Prior to starting his NFL career, Will Levis had an interesting journey in college football.
Levis started his career at [Penn State](https://www.pennlive.com/pennstatefootball/), appearing in 14 games during his three seasons with the Nittany Lions.
Levis threw for 644 yards, with 3 touchdowns and 2 interceptions during his time at Penn State. He added 473 yards and 6 touchdowns on the ground.
The 6-foot-4 QB then transferred to Kentucky and was a two-year starter for the Wildcats, before being drafted in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
Levis threw for 43 touchdowns and 23 interceptions during his two seasons with the Wildcats. He added 11 rushing scores.
