Phoenix Suns narrow head coach short list to 2 candidates: report

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The Phoenix Suns have reportedly narrowed down their coaching search to just two candidates.

According to a report from ESPN NBA Insider Shams Charania, the Suns shortened their list to coaches on staff of the Cleveland Cavaliers: associate coach Johnnie Bryant and assistant coach Jordan Ott.

The report states that both coaches are set to meet with Suns owner Mat Ishbia, with a hiring to possibly be made by the end of the week.

Phoenix fired head coach Mike Budenholzer in April after just one season. In May, the team introduced new General Manager Brian Gregory, who will take over for James Jones.
