Manchester United will have four out-of-contract players next summer

Casemiro, Harry Maguire, Jadon Sancho and Dan Gore are about to head into the final year of their Manchester United contracts.

Casemiro signed a four-year contract, with the option of another year, when he was signed from Real Madrid in 2022, but United won't trigger the 12-month extension in his deal.

United were open to offers for Casemiro last summer and received no appropriate offer. Casemiro's stock has improved due to his performances in the Europa League and he could leave in this summer transfer window to prevent him leaving on a free transfer at the end of next season.

In January, the one-year extension in Maguire's contract was triggered, meaning his contract now expires in June 2026. Maguire enjoyed a renaissance this term and scored important goals.

The defender could negotiate fresh terms with United, otherwise, he'll leave for free next summer.

Before Maguire's one-year extension was announced after Christmas, he said about talks: "All the signs are positive at the moment and the chat that I'm having is really positive.”

Sancho's contract also expires next summer, but Chelsea have the obligation to sign him permanently and sources have confirmed they must pay 'a significant fee' if they wish to break their agreement.

That fee is believed to be around £5million and Chelsea will decide on Sancho's future imminently.

Enzo Maresca was recently asked if the Conference League final would be Sancho's last appearance in a Chelsea shirt and said: "I don't know. I said that when in the last weeks you asked me about different players, I always said the same. And the reason why is because it's the truth.

"It's not the moment, we have tomorrow the final. Then in 24 hours, 48 hours, we're going to start to talk about the future. But at this moment, there is not any thought or any decision made on Jadon or any different players."

Finally, Gore is out of contract in June 2026 and a decision will be made on whether to hand him a new contract, sell him on a permanent deal this summer or allow him to run his deal down.

Gore signed for Rotherham on loan in the January transfer window, but he picked up a foot injury shortly after signing for the Millers and returned to Carrington to undergo treatment.

He was absent from the post-season tour and is facing an uncertain future at United.
