This summer could be a significant one at Manchester United, with a number of potential incomings and outgoings at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils endured a dismal season last term and ultimately finished 15th in the Premier League table, meaning United will not be in European competition next season.
That will come as a blow to the club’s supporters and owners, as well as the playing and coaching staff.
Amorim has arguably failed to improve his side since taking charge in November last year, following the dismissal of Erik ten Hag.
The Portuguese will be desperate to overhaul his squad this summer and bring in more of his own signings, and it appears that he could be eyeing a surprise move for an ex-Premier League striker currently plying his trade in the Middle East.
As reported by TalkSPORT, Man United are one of a number of Premier League clubs considering a move for Al-Hilal forward Aleksandar Mitrovic.

The 30-year-old first arrived in England with Newcastle United back in 2015, but enjoyed his most successful spell with West London side Fulham.
In total the Serbian striker scored 111 goals in 206 matches for the Cottagers across all competitions, before departing to join Saudi side Al-Hilal in the summer of 2023.
Since his move, Mitrovic has netted 68 times in 70 games for the Pro League side, but the report claims that the Saudi side could be forced to sell some players this summer and the striker could be one of those allowed to leave.
With that in mind, both Everton and West Ham United are also said to be monitoring the player’s situation.
United’s interest in the Serbia international comes with the Red Devils set to miss out on Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap, who is closing in on a move to Chelsea.
