Manchester United’s summer rebuild is already underway, with INEOS completing the club’s earliest transfer of the post-Ferguson era by sealing a deal for Matheus Cunha.
Cunha’s arrival will bolster a blunt attack.
However, it’s widely accepted at Old Trafford that one signing alone won’t solve the club’s long-standing issues up front.

The search for a new centre-forward remains a top priority.
Especially after a season where goals were hard to come by and the team slumped to a 15th-place finish in the Premier League.
United’s need for firepower has not gone unnoticed – their failed pursuit of Liam Delap didn’t help though.
Their open pursuit of a striker has prompted clubs from across Europe to make contact – looking to offer players they’re willing to part ways with.
Goncalo Ramos offered to Manchester United
One of those is Goncalo Ramos, who has been offered to Manchester United, according to United In Focus, via transfer insider Graeme Bailey.
The Portuguese forward joined PSG initially on loan in 2023, with the move becoming permanent in 2024 at a total cost that could rise to £65 million.
But Ramos has struggled for consistent starts in Paris.
While he did come off the bench in the Champions League final win over Inter Milan, he largely played a supporting role last season.
With PSG now ready to part ways, his representatives have been sounding out interest from various clubs – including from Old Trafford.
Bailey says Ramos had previously shown strong interest in joining United before PSG came calling and that his camp is once again engaging in talks.

United are monitoring the situation and value the player’s skillset.
Although, the £50 million asking price may be a sticking point unless negotiations lower the fee.
Ramos made just 12 starts in Ligue 1 this past season, adding 10 more off the bench, scoring 10 goals, including a late hat-trick against Montpellier.
In the Champions League, he scored three times in 12 appearances, only one of which was from the start.
United continue to assess their options in the forward department, and while no move is imminent, Ramos is a name to keep a close eye on.
