Detroit Lions’ center Frank Ragnow announces his retirement

ALLEN PARK, Mich. (WILX) - Detroit Lions Pro Bowl center Frank Ragnow took to social media on Monday afternoon to announce his retirement from the NFL. Ragnow has battled multiple injuries throughout his seven-year career and just turned 29 in May.

“I’ve tried to convince myself that I’m feeling good, but I’m not, and it’s time for me to prioritize my health and my family’s future,” said Ragnow.

Ragnow spent his entire career with the Lions and was a four-time Pro Bowler. Detroit’s second-round pick, Tate Ratledge, has been taking snaps at center and could be the replacement for Ragnow.
