Luis Diaz clenches his fist in celebration towards the Anfield crowd after scoring for Liverpool against Arsenal. Luis Diaz makes a heart shape wit...
Liverpool forward Luis Diaz has been a big hit at Anfield ever since his move from Porto in January 2022.
Despite some injury problems along the way, Diaz kicked on even further in 2024/25 to power the Reds to a Premier League title win.
But although Liverpool are keen to keep hold of the Colombian, there remains a possibility that Diaz leaves this summer.
Saudi side Al Nassr have made Diaz a top target and there’s a feeling that we could be seeing the last of the No. 7 at Anfield. As a result, Rousing The Kop thought it’d be a good time to take a look back at 10 of Diaz’s best strikes in a Liverpool shirt.

10. Man United (H), 2021/22
Arguably one of Diaz’s best stints at Liverpool came immediately after signing for the Reds three-and-a-half years ago.
The Colombia international immediately hit the ground running, and scored one of his best goals for Liverpool in a 4-0 rout of Manchester United at Anfield.
With the Reds already 2-0 up after a blitz in the first-half, Diaz finished off a lethal counter-attack by slamming home Mohamed Salah’s inch-perfect ball across the six-yard box.
9. Luton (H), 2023/24
Having spent most of the 2022/23 season out injured, Diaz roared back in the 2023/24 campaign to deliver a solid, 13-goal term.

One of the best of his haul came during a must-win game against Luton Town at Anfield. With the Reds badly needing a win to stay in the Premier League title race, they headed into half-time 1-0 down.
But after Virgil van Dijk levelled and Cody Gakpo put Liverpool in front, Diaz danced past the Luton defence to fire home at the Kop end. A good show of his balance and control, this was a memorable finish at a raucous Anfield.
8. Chelsea (A), 2023/23
Another of Diaz’s best goals of the 2023/24 season came on the opening day of the season.
With Liverpool facing a tough trip to Stamford Bridge to play Chelsea, Diaz pounced on a delightful pass from Salah to finish off a quite brilliant team goal.
The goal may have been all about the pass, but Diaz’s run in behind the defence and two-footed sliding finish was an emphatic way to ring in the new campaign.

7. Tottenham (A), 2024/25
One of Diaz’s key attributes has always been his ability to score with his head.
And this absolutely came to the fore when Liverpool took on Tottenham away in North London earlier this season.
Latching onto a quite sublime cross from Trent Alexander-Arnold, Diaz got up brilliantly to steer an unstoppable header into the ground and beyond Fraser Forster.
6. Bayer Leverkusen (H), 2024/25
Perhaps Diaz’s best night in a Liverpool shirt came in November 2024, when the Colombian hit his only hat-trick at the club so far.
It arrived in the Champions League against Bayer Leverkusen, with Arne Slot surprisingly starting Diaz through the middle of the attack.
It paid off handsomely early in the second-half, when the winger claimed Curtis Jones’ delicious through ball before scooping a cheeky finish over goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky.

5. Bournemouth (H), 2023/24
Part of the joy of watching Diaz play is the possibility of him doing something completely unexpected at any given moment.
And that was exactly what he did in August 2023, with Liverpool trailing Brentford in just the second game of the season.
Having gone behind to an early Antoine Semenyo goal, the Reds came roaring back and had Diaz to thank. Receiving the ball in the area with his back to goal, the No. 7 flicked it up with his first touch and buried a flying scissor kick with his second.
4. Brentford (H), 2024/25
Having scored on the first Anfield game of the season in 2023/24, Diaz repeated the trick in 2024/25, blamming home a sensational counter-attacking goal against Brentford.
Having led the charge out of the box following a Brentford corner, Diaz played in Diogo Jota before going for the return.
Within two passes Liverpool were in on goal, and Diaz smashed home the left-footed finish into the roof of the Anfield Road net. A brilliant way to open his account for the season.
3. Arsenal (A), 2023/24
At one stage of the 2023/24 season it had looked like Liverpool might do the impossible and push on to win a quadruple.
Of course, that was never going to happen, but the Reds’ win at the Emirates Stadium in the FA Cup third round had people thinking it just might be Liverpool’s year.
Diaz had a hand in that victory, sealing the win and sending the traveling Kop berserk with a sublime left-footed striker which beat Aaron Ramsdale and headed straight for the top corner.
2. Man United (A), 2024/25
Diaz headed into the 2024/25 season with some question marks over his output.
However, the Colombia star banished those right from the off, following up a smashing goal against Brentford with two delightful efforts to beat Man United at Old Trafford.
The second of the two was the better, as Diaz brilliantly curled a Salah pass into the bottom corner with a first time finish. One of his very best goals for Liverpool.
1. Crystal Palace (H), 2022/23
The 2022/23 campaign was a difficult one for Diaz and for Liverpool more generally.
For all the nonsense that went on during the season, though, it did give us inarguably Diaz’s best goal in Liverpool red.
It felt like a big one at the time, too. With Liverpool 1-0 down in their first home game of the season, and having seen Darwin Nunez sent off, they badly needed some inspiration from somewhere. Having looked like the only one up for it all evening, it inevitably came from Diaz.
After picking up the ball near the left touchline, Diaz danced past two challenges before heading back towards the edge of the box. He then unleashed a brilliant, arrowing effort which flew into the Kop end goal and lift the roof of Anfield. Magic.
