Liverpool enjoyed a magnificent season as they dominated the Premier League from start to finish to win their 20th league title.

Mohamed Salah played a huge role, racking up an outrageous 29 goals and 18 assists in 38 games to spearhead their title charge.

The Dutch players at Liverpool were also key to their success, with Virgil van Dijk leading from the back, Ryan Gravenberch dominating the midfield and Cody Gakpo providing extra attacking power to the team, all under the guidance of fellow Dutchman and manager Arne Slot.

The Dutch influence is only set to grow with Liverpool already signing Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen on Friday.

And now, the Reds are being linked with yet another Netherlands international in Quinten Timber.

Liverpool showing interest in signing Quinten Timber

Liverpool are among a host of Premier League clubs showing an interest in signing the Feyenoord star.

That is according to the latest report from CaughtOffside, which claims that the Reds are keeping tabs on the player’s situation at the Dutch club.

The 23-year-old’s contract is set to expire in 2026, with the club engaged in talks to extend his contract. However, if they fail to reach an agreement, Feyenoord would like to cash in on him this summer rather than risk losing him for free next year.

The report claims that the Dutch club will accept offers in the region of £20m to £25m for the player if Timber does not sign a new contract.

Liverpool are not alone in the pursuit with Arsenal, Man United and Tottenham also keen on the player.

Arne Slot gives Liverpool advantage over Arsenal, Man United and Tottenham

Arne Slot gives Liverpool the advantage in Timber’s pursuit over the others.

Not only because both are Dutch but because Slot knows Timber really well from his time at Feyenoord.

Timber made 74 appearances under Slot, scoring 11 goals and assisting 12 across all competitions.

The former Feyenoord manager has spoken highly of the player in the past, calling him ‘special’.

Speaking to Ziggo Sport, he said (quotes via Football London): “If he continues to develop as he has this year, then his ceiling is extremely high because he has undergone great development over the past year. He is a special player.”
