Bryan Mbuemo has been at the centre of many club’s attentions including Manchester United with the midfielder coming off the back of a excellent season with Brentford.

Mbuemo, 25, scored 20 goals in the Premier League this season whilst also contributing 7 assists. This has led to many clubs targeting the Cameroon international as a signing in the summer.

One of these clubs is Manchester United with it being reported that the Red Devils were interested in Mbuemo as a part of their summer recruitment which will see Ruben Amorim reform his squad ahead of the 2025-26 Premier League season – a season in which the club will be hoping to compete for Europe.

Today, journalist David Ornstein has confirmed Bryan Mbuemo’s next club with the midfielder deciding to join Manchester United choosing United over clubs such as Arsenal, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.

How Does Mbuemo Fit Into The United System?

The prospect of signing a double figure goal scorer such as Bryan Mbuemo will certainly bring excitement to many fans especially as this follows the signing of Matheus Cunha yesterday from Wolves for a fee of £62.5 million on a 5 year deal.

With the Cameroon international primarily playing on the right-wing, he doesn’t directly fit into United’s 3-4-2-1 formation. However, if he was to join, it arguably would be expected that the midfielder would take up a CAM (Centre Attacking Midfielder) role, perhaps in the spot where we see Amad and Garnacho feature.

This would allow Mbuemo to attack centrally whilst also allowing him to go out wide during an attack. Furthermore, the midfielder can also play as a striker if needed.

This could be extremely beneficial to the Red Devils who may decide to use Mbuemo both as a CAM and a striker. His ability as a striker also offers cover in the position which can be beneficial for United during a hectic and busy season in which they will play in pre-season games and minimum of 3 tournaments.

If this move was to occur, Manchester United would be bringing a versatile, well cultured player to the club who still has potential to improve but has contains the ability to be lethal in his gameplay and style.

Can you see United signing Bryan Mbuemo? Only time will tell in this matter but what is for sure is that United are approaching this window with clear intent.
