Big-spending Saudi giants inch closer to landing Manchester United fan favourite star

Al-Hilal are growing in confidence about signing Bruno Fernandes from Manchester United as a decision from the midfielder could be imminent.

According to Fichajes, Manchester United phase an anxious wait to find out whether Bruno Fernandes will play at the club next season. The Portuguese midfielder and club skipper has a huge offer on the table from Al-Hilal, with the Saudi Arabian club now growing in confidence about signing the Starman.

Bruno Fernandes has a big decision on his hand as he must choose between a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia or to stay at Manchester United. Ever since the defeat to Tottenham in the Europa League final, speculation surrounding the Red Devils skipper has increased amid interest from Saudi Arabia.

Al-Hilal have been plotting a big move for the Portuguese international, with the report stating the Saudi Arabian club could offer more than €100 million. Manchester United have found themselves in a precarious position with their finances after missing out on Champions League qualification for next season.

While the Red Devils have maintained the stance that they do not want to sell Bruno Fernandes at this moment, a large enough offer could certainly tempt the board into considering a sale. The midfielder himself is undecided on whether to make a move to Al-Hilal, with the report stating that there is a lucrative contract being presented to his agent.

Al-Hilal Chairman, Fahad bin Nafel met with Fernandes’s agent, Miguel Pinho, to present a three-year contract offer for Fernandes worth $230 million spread throughout the deal. The Saudi side have already given a deadline for the Manchester United fan favourite star to decide on the proposal, as the report states Fernandes has not told his current club of his next move.

Al-Hilal confident of signing Bruno Fernandes

As per Ben Jacobs, Al-Hilal are growing in confidence about landing the Manchester United captain. The Saudi giants are eager to sign the star man before the Club World Cup commences, and Jacobs had previously stated they will move on to other targets if the Portuguese star does not give his decision before a certain deadline.

Al-Hlial have so far not lodged an official bid for Manchester United to consider, which might be because they still do not have an agreement with the player. They firmly believe that should Fernandes ask to leave, it would change the Red Devils’ stance over his future, which would then open the doors for them to commence talks with the Premier League side.
