Disgraced Premier League referee David Coote has been filmed in his new line of work – delivering parcels for Evri.
A couple were stunned to see the 42-year-old former top flight official holding a parcel on their Ring doorbell in footage seen by the Daily Star. Coote is currently serving a 16-month ban from referring at UEFA fixtures after a clip of him allegedly using foul language to describe former Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp.
Separate footage of the ref appearing to snort cocaine then emerged. In response to questions from the Sun about his new job, Coote said: “I want to get on with my life. I’m trying to move forwards and regain a sense of responsibility and purpose.

"The job is keeping me busy and occupied, it’s not a new long-term career. I’m just trying to make an honest living.”
The first clip that landed Coote in hot water, saw him call Klopp a "German c***". The cocaine footage was reportedly taken at last Summer's Euros.

The homeowner who received the package from the disgraced ref said: "My husband’s a Liverpool fan and what David said didn’t go down well.
"My husband had ordered a part for a vehicle he’s working on and recognised David. He said, ‘He’s delivering packages now’. I was like ‘Oh my gosh, is he really?’

"It’s his own downfall, at the end of the day. David got himself into this mess. He lives up the road. I see him around town a lot.”
He was fired by referee governing body PGMOL in December and is banned by UEFA until next June. He said at the time: “The drugs happened on an entirely ad-hoc basis.
"It fills me with a huge sense of shame to sit here and to say that I took that route.”
Previously, it was reported Coote was plotting a new career as a £10,000-a-time after-dinner speaker. Law graduate Coots told pals he’s planning to “make a fortune” talking about his demise to boozed-up blokes at sports clubs and gentlemen’s evenings.

A source revealed: "David is going to let the dust settle a bit before hitting the after-dinner circuit and he reckons he will make a fortune. He is talking figures like £10,000 and he knows he will be in demand from people willing to pay big money to hear about his story and anecdotes from the game.

"He’s got some really explosive stuff about other figures in the game that will make him a popular speaker for sure."
