After rampant rumors, Giants legend makes decision on future

Michael Strahan is remaining on “Good Morning America” after uncertainty over his future with the ABC show.

According to Max Tani of Semafor, Strahan is expected to extend his contract with “GMA,” while lightening his schedule to fewer than five times a week.

According to the report, the adjusted schedule is intended to accommodate the New York Giants legend’s work with FOX’s NFL coverage as well as give him more time to spend with family.

Plus, Strahan may soon have another business venture to consider — according to Scott Soshnick and Eben Novy-Williams of Sportico, Strahan is pursuing an investment into the Giants alongside Marc Lasry, former owner of the Milwaukee Bucks.

In February, news broke that the Giants were looking to sell up to 10% of the team. Owners John Mara and Steve Tisch want two or three buyers to fill that stake. An NFL rule passed in August that allows private equity firms to buy up to a 10% stake in franchises. Mara and Tisch intend to maintain operation control of the team but their minority sale is expected to set an NFL franchise valuation record.
