AI predicts an Arsenal summer transfer window which would send the world spinning.
Arsenal and Mikel Arteta will feel that a lot of work is needed in the transfer market this summer as they reflect on a trio of silver-medal finishes in the Premier League and a Champions League semi-final exit at the hands of eventual winners PSG.
The feeling around the club is that they are within the reach of success, but just need a couple of key additions and some more injury luck to go their way to really take the next step towards glory. Arteta has previously been criticised for his reluctance to bring in new signings in attacking areas, particularly in the centre-forward position, but surely this will be the summer the club finally put an end to that and bring in the top-class talent fans have been crying out for.
We decided to ask AI to predict what an ideal transfer window may look like for Arsenal - who would they bring in, could they really break the bank this summer? The results were every bit as ground-breaking as you may imagine.
AI predicts stunning £330m summer splash
In a scenario which would surely leave the football world never to be the same again, AI has predicted a monster £330m summer spend by Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal which would truly make them a force to be reckoned with.
The marquee signing in a list of star names would be Real Madrid’s Rodrygo, for a stunning £135m. This transfer alone could make the Gunners contenders once again, and they have been previously linked this summer - but the thing which makes this transfer surprising is the fee. A price tag of around £85m has been touted during Arsenal’s recent interest in the Brazilian, so maybe in this alternate reality AI are anticipating a major bidding war? Regardless, this would be a major coup.
The AI predicted six huge signings in total for the Gunners in this earth-shattering transfer window, including Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres - a key transfer target of Man United - for £70m, Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi for £51m and Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens for £50m. Huge moves, but not beyond the realms of possibility. In addition, a swoop for Spain and Athletic Club’s 22-year-old winger Nico Williams was predicted for £49m - which would give the Gunners unlimited wide options with the additions of Rodrygo and Gittens - and Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia for £25m as back-up to David Raya. Financial regulations be damned eh, AI?
Five players predicted to leave as Mikel Arteta moves on fringe stars
To finish off this mammoth transfer window, AI has predicted that just five players will depart for a combined total of £30m. PSR may not be major fans of this transfer window, but Arsenal fans certainly would be.
First of all, three free agents will leave at the end of their contracts. Jorginho will join Brazilian side Flamengo, Kieran Tierney will return to former club Celtic, and Thomas Partey will also depart though his destination is unclear. Furthermore, Oleksandr Zinchenko will move on for a £10m fee and seek more first-team football elsewhere, while Leandro Trossard will leave the Emirates for £20m to make way for attacking arrivals such as Rodrygo and Williams.
This predicted transfer window would certainly raise more than a few eyebrows, but if Arsenal’s owners approached this summer head-on with money to spend and a determination to take the Gunners back to the top, anything could happen.
